Camping- a way you can experience God playfully. The relaxed relationship between the meadows, forests and trails creates an environment in which one can experience the playfulness and assurance of God's acceptance. The Desert Southwest Conference organizes and promotes Christian camping opportunities at Camp Yavapines, Camp Mingus Mountain and Camp Hope.
Christian Education
Sunday School-Sunday morning Christian education for the children of God ages 2-99. For more information about Sunday School, click here.
Vacation Bible School-Summer Christian learning opportunity for children and adults.
Christmas Pageant-Annual youth and children's celebration of the birth of Christ through music and drama.
Disciple Bible Study-a comprehensive Bible reading program meant for all who thirst for the word of God. You will go through the Bible at a quick pace. Includes an informative background video and discussion. For more information about Bible Study, click here.
Spiritual Gifts Study-a short three week study of your spiritual gifts. Find out how God "gifted" you and how to utilize your natural abilities.
Dinner Dance-This community project is a time of fellowship. Mission Bell's UMYF serve the dinner as an act of service to the church and community.
Mature Group-A dynamic group of men and women who meet every other week on Friday. They offer support, fellowship and service opportunities for the young at heart.
Membership & Evangelism Team - This Ministry Team serves to spread God's Word to the friends, neighbors and visitors of Mission Bell UMC. Their mandate is to "make disciples of Christ" within and outside our church.
Mission Bell's United Methodist Women (UMW) - Mission Bell's church women ministry provides spiritual, social, service and growth opportunities for women of all ages.
Mission Bell's United Methodist Youth (UMYF) - This is the place for all Jr. and Sr. High teenagers of Mission Bell. For more information, please click here.
Sunday Worship Experience
Acolytes - This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to assist with worship.
Altar Arts - Visual enhancement of our worship space.
Communion Servers & Stewards - Communion servers assist in providing, preparing and serving communion on a monthly basis.
Drama & Dance - Presentation of the Gospel through dramatic sketches, plays, and performances.
Greeters - Greeters welcome people to worship on Sunday morning services.
Worship Leader - Worship readers read the Scripture lessons at Sunday services.
Morning Fellowship - Organizes and serves coffee, and donuts on Sunday morning, before and after each service.
Multi-media - The team assists with worship service presentations using sound system, lighting projectors, computers, and cameras.
Praise Team - Come make a joyful noise unto the Lord! New songs and old songs in a new way. This vocal and instrumental group leads worship in the contemporary services and they have way too much fun together.
Ushers?Assist in worship by caring for bulletins, offering, attendance folders, visitor gifts and pastor's visitor list.
Widows Group - This group meets regularly to share their lives together and to visit the homebound members and friends of Mission Bell. They are a positive, upbeat, "just-do-it" kind of group and you will enjoy their fellowship.
"In Mission to the World"
Blood Drive - Coordinates the annual blood drive with the American Red Cross Bloodmobile program. Members and friends of Mission Bell are encouraged to donate blood and serve as workers during the blood drive.
Christmas Projects - Coordinate church-wide mission projects throughout the holiday season.
Feed the Homeless - Monthly preparation, delivery and serving of a meal to the homeless at United Methodist Outreach Ministry (UMOM).
Habitat for Humanity - The church-wide mission project to use our time and talents to build houses in our community.
Interfaith Hospitality Network - A community network of city-wide interfaith churches to house homeless families. Volunteers, donations, set-up, serving, sleep-over and cleanup assistants needed.
Lay Shepherds - This is a ministry of pastoral care offered by lay people to others in our congregation and community. It is a ministry of "Listening Presence", offering spiritual and emotional support during a time of need and transition in their lives.
Missions Team - This Ministry Team serves in mission to our world through feeding the homeless, food pantry, sponsoring a refugee family and more.
Prayer Chain - Members and friends seek to heighten the power and importance of prayer in our daily lives.
Project Hope Floats - A community based outreach to become a "drop-off" site for abandoned babies. Volunteers, donations, fundraising, legislative liaison, and much more needed.
Pumpkin Patch - A church-wide project in Oct. to raise funds for missions.
Share a Meal - An outreach project to use our time and talents to help Mission Bell's homebound, convalescing and grief stricken friends.
"In Service To God"
Administrative Council- This Ministry Team is a council of church leaders committed to fulfilling the mission of the church.
Building Team - This Ministry Team serves God through their dedication to our dream of a new sanctuary which will the allow the members and friends of Mission Bell UMC to further serve God's children.
Family Fellowship Team - This Ministry Teams serves God through their dedication to the fellowship of the friends, neighbors and visitors of Mission Bell UMC.
Funeral Receptions - Coordinate funeral dinners/receptions. Callers, food donations, set-up, serving and clean up assistants needed.
Office Volunteer/Newsletter Mailing - enjoy fellowship, a sense of belonging and appreciation for your time as you assist staff members with phone answering, bulletin assembly, newsletter mailing and photocopying.
Stewardship Team - This Ministry Team service God by dedicating themselves to further the use of God's gifts in His name, and to serve the members, and friends of Mission Bell UMC.
Wedding Receptions - Help coordinate and serve wedding receptions held at Mission Bell's Church.
