CYNTHIA KRISTOPEIT - Pastor
Pastor Cynthia Kristopeit was appointed to Mission Bell in the the spring of 2007. She comes to Mission Bell with twenty years of ministry experience. She holds a BA in History from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and a Master of Divinity degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. She has been the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships, and is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Georgia Harkness Scholarship presented by the Division of Ordained Ministry, General Board of Higher Education and Ministry. She was ordained an elder in the Dakotas Conference in 1998. She also served churches in the Wisconsin Annual Conference.
Currently, Rev. Kristopeit chairs the Desert Southwest Annual Conference's Commission on the Status and Role of Women, and serves on the Outreach Team, Covenant Council, Conference Personnel Committee, and the Conference Nominating Committee. Her passion in ministry include preaching, teaching and outreach.
Rev. Kristopeit's husband William (Bill) Uminski is retired from Johnson Wax of Racine, Wisconsin. She has two children, Jennifer (Geraldo) Bruno of Stanhope, New Jersey and a son Christian Ruud of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her hobbies included travel, hiking, camping, exploring the back roads of Arizona, exploring old mines and ghost towns, reading and writing.
